Episode 388 - 2 Nintendo Directs, A State Of Play, And Playstation Backs Out Of Kojima Deal

On this episode of the podcast we give our reaction to the Zelda Direct, breakdown the games announced during the State of Play and other Nintendo Direct, as well as discuss the Physint split.

[00:00:08] Welcome to Crashing Game Night, my name is Matt Diario, your host. As always, we're joined by the beanied one, Gerard Barrera. That's right nerds, I finally have a beanie again. It's uh, you know, even though it's a little warm, but I thought it was appropriate and finally uh, finally have it again. Because your hair is short enough to wear one? And my hair is short enough to wear one. That's right, and I did get a haircut. There was a lot going on.

[00:00:35] We are uh, sans the uh, babyface one, Theowalski, he's a little under the weather, hoping he feels better so we can have him back next week. But then we got the man with the couch, the maitre d' of services, the man, the myth, the legend, Jason Belletio. How's it going guys? How's it going? Another week? Yep. It's uh, yeah. There he is. Dude, tomorrow is officially my last day of rehab.

[00:01:05] Wow. Congratulations. I've been doing it for three months already. It has been, let's put this in perspective. 520 was surgery day. Wow. It has already been four months since I had surgery. Crazy. It has been seven months since I started this journey back on February 13th with my first cardiologist appointment. I've had only seven months of nonstop medical crap and I'm done.

[00:01:31] Like I get to be done with it and then move on to post rehab taking care of myself. And then only four months, four months since the, since the actual surgery. Yeah. May 20th. Oh, wow. Yeah. Dang, man. Mm hmm. Where the frick is time gone? So. Yeah. Yeah. Crazy. Yeah. So I got myself some graduation gifts.

[00:02:01] Oh, really? What'd you get? Well, we'll talk about what I've been playing later, but I got switched to that. Yeah. Look at that. We got, we got a switch to owner. Yep. So we got two of us on the podcast, but nice man. So I'll start with the smaller stuff. Um, so there's a company called blokeys that does these like little plastic models.

[00:02:30] Um, they do them for like star Wars and other things, but I picked up their transformers line or a couple of them. So I've got sound wave. Oh, cool. And like the little door opens up. Oh, sweet. Um, they're like little statues. Yeah. Little mini sections, but they're like models. So these, this star screen. Oh, they're cool. Yeah. They're cool looking. I like the animation.

[00:02:59] Um, iron hide and they're all poseable too. Like they all have like knee joints and all of that to. Oh, cool. And they have a separate hands and stuff. And then of course, uh, Bumblebee from, from transformers one. Oh, cool. Um, but then see, and then they come right up. They just put on their base. You compose them, you know, how you want to on the base.

[00:03:26] Um, but this is, this is the, the big thing that I got. This has been on my bucket list of Lego sets for a very long time. Oh, wow. This is 2,100 pieces. Uh, this is the space shuttle transport craft. The actual shuttle does come off.

[00:03:53] Um, I tried to put a Superman minifig under there, but it doesn't work. So I have him holding the wing. So I am recreating Superman returns. Nice little Easter egg there. That's cool. Yes. So. Oh yeah. And I forgot the blow keys actually light up too. They've got little, uh, little packs in them to make them. Oh, the blockies. Yeah. Yeah. Or the blockies. Yeah.

[00:04:21] So anyways, you know what though? They're, they're little, nice little, you know, model kits and you know, they're. I keep hearing about the new, um, uh, the new rival blockies figures and the star Wars figures. They like, they're actually pretty good. Yeah. I mean, for 20 bucks are really well put together.

[00:04:49] They like, you have a, it takes a second to get the instructions on how they put things together, but. The pieces are designed to fit together and snap in and you. Everything like articulates. Well, like it's like, it's just, it has a particular look obviously like, but, uh, you know, as decent, uh, decently priced figures, uh, go. Yeah. They're not bad. Yep.

[00:05:18] So, uh, let's get to this. Cause we have a lot to talk about. We have Xbox. We've got PlayStation and we've got Nintendo to talk about tonight. So the Trivecta. So, uh, you know, we're actually going to talk some kind of good news about Xbox tonight. And, uh, uh, they've been, uh, yeah, they've been, you know what? I'm glad that they have the turnaround.

[00:05:47] I'm glad that. Well, the reason we're talking about Xbox in a good way is because PlayStation was stupid. Uh-oh. All right. Uh, possible turnaround. Possible turnaround. No, news broke that, uh, a couple months ago, PlayStation tried to kill Hideo Kojima's new game, Fizzant, which they signed a deal with to publish it.

[00:06:16] Um, they didn't even talk to him about it. They basically just showed up and said, Hey, we're pulling the funding for your game. Done. So Hideo has spent the last three months trying to find somebody that will, you know, help publish the game and everything. And Asha and company have stepped up and they now have two games that are in the works for Xbox.

[00:06:45] Done by Hideo Kojima. Oh, wow. Can PlayStation stop with the dumb moves? Because Fizzant is the spiritual successor to Metal Gear Solid. Nope. And that's even from Hideo Kojima himself has even called it like a spiritual successor to Metal Gear.

[00:07:14] And so it's oddly enough that while all this is breaking on. So this happened three months ago. What also happened three months ago? Sony said, Hey, we're going to stop making physical discs. Nope. And Kojima blasted them for it. And then all of a sudden they pull his funding. Like, you know, I don't believe in coincidences, you know?

[00:07:44] So, you know what? Kudos to Xbox for showing up, for stepping up and whatnot. And hopefully, you know, it does come out to be a good game. I mean, you know, we don't know the full story, but I look at it though. We know Death Stranding was, didn't make the money, you know, that it should have. Even though it did get some commercial success and, you know, some...

[00:08:12] It got a sequel and that also had its own little like kind of success, but they didn't get the numbers it was projected to get. Correct. Even though it has some popularity, especially, you know, right now, like a lot of people are still, you know, talking about the story or how it plays. You know, it's still out there. So, I mean, yeah, it's crazy how it's still kind of stayed alive. Yep. But, you know...

[00:08:41] Once again, it hasn't made what it was projected to, or it was hoped to. So, I mean, even you look at the statement from Masha is creators have choices about where and how to bring their ideas to life. We're honored that Kojima-san has chosen Xbox to work with Kojima Productions on Fizzit. His ambition to challenge conventions reflects the kind of creativity we want to support at Xbox. And then, you know...

[00:09:11] Good for Xbox, you know. You know, good for them, you know. One, this is a big pickup. Two, this is not a shooter game. So, I mean, it's... There is shooting, so they're not veering too far, but you know, it's not just a shooter game. Yeah, but it's also... They're broadening their horizons.

[00:09:29] It's also Xbox kind of redeeming themselves from the past because, technically, what Sony is doing, Xbox has done in the past, with Hodeo Kojima. They screwed up Ties for... I think it was supposed to be the Silent Hill game. Oh, was it? Yeah, the PT. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

[00:09:56] And it was originally supposed to come for Xbox, I believe, and things went awry where they had to shut it down. But it was going to be on PlayStation, too. And then, remember, you know, people started selling PlayStations because it had PT loaded on it after they pulled it completely and delicensed it. That's right, that's right. You know? Yeah.

[00:10:17] So, apparently, though, when you look at the article from Xbox Wire, is that, you know, Hodeo's like, this expands the relationship with Xbox beyond OD, which is the other game he's got in the works for Xbox. You know, as we move forward with the development of FISM, we remain committed to redefining the action espionage genre for players around the world.

[00:10:37] Apparently, this is going to be including, like, this collaboration between Xbox and Kojima is going to extend to film and television as well. So, I think... It's so frustrating. It's so frustrating. Sony just... Can they just stop the stupid decisions? Yeah, they're really screwing up.

[00:11:00] Because even now, it broke after I've already prepped all this for tonight, is that Insomniac has listened to all the feedback on Wolverine, and they're going to work on the feedback and, quote-unquote, fixing some of the things that has been driving people to... Some of the things that are... Yeah, that they're complaining about.

[00:11:27] That being said, a lot of the things that's come out also in a lot of videos now is that some of the things that were being said weren't entirely true about the game, because you could go into the options menu and turn those things off. Yeah. You know, so it wasn't them being, you know, people being entirely truthful, but some of the stuff is truthful that an Insomniac is like, hey, we understand your feedback, and we're going to work to improve it.

[00:11:56] So, good on Insomniac, you know, for listening to the player feedback. Yeah. I think a lot of companies need to start doing that. Yes. Because now that we have, like, instant feedback, it's so easy to fix games. Yes. It's so easy to... I mean, not rehaul it, but I mean, like, make it more player friendly. But to make those changes, to accommodate, you know, okay, there are a few things wrong. Yeah.

[00:12:23] If they're doable, and you know, they can send out those software updates. Or bugs fix, bug fixes, you know, OP fixes, you know, like, just because, you know, sometimes it's just doing one thing over and over and over is just OP, you know, like, people find out about that. So... Exactly. So... Instant feedback, man. Need it. Mm-hmm. All right. Let's look at State of Play.

[00:12:53] So, there was two State of Plays after we recorded our last show two weeks ago. They went out that Thursday before I was traveling over to Colorado. Um, a lot of interesting names. Um, you know, Crown of No Quarter. Um, looks like Pirate Game. Uh, this one I immediately thought of you, Jerry. You got Crimson Desert giving, uh, some DLC. Yeah. Yeah, yeah.

[00:13:22] It was the... Well, this was the rumored DLC where, uh, they thought it was just going to be, um, kind of more pirate themed in, like, maybe a new area, but it's even more than that. Um, uh, and, you know, it's... It's, um, I guess they're cleaning up a lot, even more, um, quality of life type of stuff. Yep.

[00:13:48] And, uh, opening up, like, even more pets that you can have. Like, now, exploration, you can go underwater and have a ship. And there's a whole new set of storylines. And, uh, I believe with this, they even streamlined the main story to be a little less convoluted. Like, a lot of the stuff that, like, talk about, like, listening to the fans and listening to, like, what's going on.

[00:14:17] They did a lot with this, uh, C and update. It's, it's kind of a, uh, overhaul and, um, an update as well that, uh, allows you to do so much. And, uh, yeah, man, once again, I would, I would definitely recommend for you to try it somehow. Or if there's a demo, dude, I'd definitely recommend it. Dude, I got a long list of shit now to play. I mean, I just made my backlog, like, ridiculous.

[00:14:45] Um, so we got a game, uh, called Daba Land of Water Scar. Uh, it's coming from developer Dark Star Games. That one looked cool. Mm-hmm. Uh, then you've got, uh, Digimon Story, Time Stranger. So we're getting a new Digimon. Um, I didn't know Digimon was still even around. You know? Of course, man. Um, yeah, it's, it's always kind of still alive. So, yep. 10 years, you know, Dragon Balls Universe three.

[00:15:14] Sweet. Um, we also got, uh, the new, uh, DLC for Dragon Quest Monsters. It's gonna be called the Withered World. Okay. Uh, a new game called Echoes of Icrad. Out of Sword Art Online. Huh. Uh, actually, no, I take it back. It is the, uh, Genesis made the first DLC for it, for Echoes. Sorry, it's coming this one, uh, this winter.

[00:15:42] Uh, Fate Extra Record. Hmm. Coming in January. All right. Final Fantasy Residence. Uh, will be coming out, uh, October 22nd. Um, this is one I have demos downloaded on both the PlayStation and the Switch 2 so I can decide where I'm gonna play it.

[00:16:09] Um, I'm leaning towards the Switch 2 just so I can have it mobile. Um, the downside is much like the next game that we're gonna talk about with that with Final Fantasy 7 is that on the Switch 2, it is a, uh, Game Keep card. So, it's like I might as well just pay for it through the store and get it digitally. Uh, you know, versus having to worry about always putting in a cartridge just to check the license. It's already gonna be digitally installed on my system anyways.

[00:16:38] So, um, but, you know, it looks great. Um, I, like I said, I still need to play it. I need to get time to it. But Final Fantasy 7 Revelation, we did get a date. It is coming April 8th, uh, 2027. I already have this one pre-ordered. Same. Uh, I was able to get it through. I was able to get the deluxe. I was able to pre-order mine through Best Buy and got the deluxe for it. Sweet.

[00:17:06] Um, and again, this will be, this will also be launching day of on Switch 2. Everywhere. And Xbox. Yeah. And PC, like it's going everywhere. Um, so with this one, like all the other Final Fantasy 7, uh, remake and rebirth on the Switch 2, it will be a Game Keep card as well. And, uh, I looked at the install file just for FF7 remake.

[00:17:36] And that is a 90 gig install for the Switch 2. So, you might as well go get yourself a, uh, really big memory card if you're going to be downloading all three of them. Yeah. Um, we got the, uh, a little bit more information for Ghost of Yotei. We've talked about this before. Um, you know, the most wanted and whatnot. We'll be getting that October 1st. I've already got that pre-ordered.

[00:18:04] You know, uh, to start playing that. Uh, Grand Trees Mo 7 is getting a update later this year. Mm-hmm. They announced two Grand Theft Auto 6 controllers. One that is black and purple. The other one is white and purple. And then they've got, uh, the Grand Theft Auto 6 just a numeric logo with the palm trees in it on the, uh, touchpad.

[00:18:33] And the palm trees. Yeah, and the palm trees running through the actual, like, controller too. Which actually looks really cool. You know? Looks pretty cool. Yep. Um, we got the new trailer for... Every little bit. Every little bit. They're gonna suck. Oh, they're gonna squeeze. Oh, that's just the amuse-bouche. There's so much more coming. Every single. There's gonna be... Can't even say Kenny anymore. Every single. Every kind of accessory you can think of.

[00:19:03] It's coming, dude. Oh, they're gonna squeeze so much out of it. Mm-hmm. Um, you also got, uh, Gundam Rogue Orbit. Which looked really... The trailer looked really cool. I've never gotten into, uh, to Gundam as far as the games and stuff go. Tried them back in the day. Armored Core kinda hit me a little bit more. That's kinda what I played. That one looked interesting. Yeah, Hunter's Moon. Uh, it's a first-person historical foot core game. Coming in October.

[00:19:34] Uh, Keeper. Which is from Double Fine. This is the one that we saw announced a while back. Uh, that's... You're the lighthouse. Kinda moving throughout the world. Okay. Trying to save them things. The Lego PlayStation set. That was pretty cool. Uh, yeah. It is gonna be 1900 pieces. Uh, it's gonna have two scenes. One for Gran Turismo. And one for Ape Escape on the inside of it.

[00:20:04] Um, I would imagine, you know, just from the looks of it, it's gonna be along the lines of like the Game Boy. Uh, and just how detailed some of the stuff is. Just the way the buttons work. Um, that's coming October 1st. Uh, I can't wait to see an unboxing because, uh, I'm sure there are gonna be some, you know, like the Game Boy little Easter eggs on it as well. I wonder how clever they're gonna get with that one because, uh, yeah.

[00:20:33] I feel like for sure they're gonna have the, uh, thing pop open. Yes. Oh, yeah. It does open and you can see Ape Escape on the inside. On the side of it, like the, on the, the right side, this piece pops, uh, the piece on the left pops out. You know, it's a reveal the, the Gran Turismo. Yeah. Um. Okay. And, you know, I, I, I just hope that, uh, there's little, they don't reveal everything.

[00:21:02] There's a little bit of wonder. Yeah. Yeah. It's. We'll see. Yeah. So there's your, your Gran Turismo. There's Gran Turismo. The left escape was, you know, the left side was the Ape Escape. Um, you know, you can pop open the top and see them as well. So they slide out. Yeah, that's pretty cool. Though.

[00:21:27] I'm wondering why they picked Ape Escape out of all of them, because there's other, other games that more define. One than just. Ape Escape and Gran Turismo. Granted, Final Fantasy seven zone by Square Enix. And you've got. Crash Bandicoot is now is toy, you know, uh. I mean, Resident Evil classic, but that's Capcom. So, I mean, Ape Escape is on, you know, that license, I think is still owned by my PlayStation.

[00:21:57] So there's, you know, but I think. You could have gone with some other choices. I would. You so. I would definitely throw that under the category of missed opportunity. Yeah. But I would say that because of licensing problems. I. That's probably the reason. But, uh. Overall, that's still pretty cool. Yeah. I don't know if I'll get it though. Like, it depends on what the price point is going to be. I'm kind of.

[00:22:26] I think we've already discussed. We're getting a little more. Selective. With some of our stuff. That being said, I still. I still think the Game Boy was a fantastic pickup. Like the Game Boy. Yeah. But like we said, we're being a little more selective and just in general of our collectibles. Yeah. I mean, even then, that's why. I mean, I picked up some of the models for the Transformers just because I wanted some. Like, I love Transformers. I didn't have any collectible pieces and they were cheap, you know?

[00:22:55] Mm-hmm. But I probably won't get any more unless it's, you know, I need to get Optimus, but. You know, like my Lego set on the other hand, that was a bucket list item for me, you know? So it's like, I've wanted that since it launched and I got it for cheaper than it is retail. So I can't argue. Nice. Man Eater 2. Very cool. They showed off a little bit more Wolverine. Can't wait. Which, you know, launched today.

[00:23:25] Mm-hmm. The fact that it's Omniac's already saying, hey, we're listening to the feedback is huge because it was launch day. Metro 2039. Big response to that one. Yep. New DLC for Monster Hunter Wilds. Yep. Coming next year. Mycopunk. That one looked interesting. The looter shooter. Yep. Yeah. You've got rematch.

[00:23:56] Blue Lock's just a collaboration for it. They started off everything with an exclusive clip for Resident Evil, which kind of was kind of threw off the whole prison. Like, yeah, come on, bro. You're trying to revive this again. Yeah. This isn't, this isn't a real life until dawn. Get out of here. Yeah. I'm actually interested to see the movie. I mean, I've heard, I've heard, uh, liar. No, I am.

[00:24:25] I've heard positive, like actual positive stuff that like, it's, it's like part of it's part of the, the world where like, it's considered on the other side of town to, so it, uh, the director allows, so it allows him to kind of tell the story and not worry about like the main characters and all of that. Now he's kind of setting up the, the world and then, you know, he kind of a Lord to what's going on.

[00:24:54] I don't know if he's going to come in the next movie, but this is to set up like, this is the core of why Resident Evil is so good. Like he, he describes like a finding. Okay. First finding, like, what do you usually first find in the games? It's a shotgun and what's scarce in the games. I'm all so like that happens. Like, yeah, I think, you know, did you really need to do this as part of the state of play

[00:25:21] Uh, out of the state of, as the state of play goes, uh, no, it was definitely like, like, yeah, yeah, yeah. It definitely like off centered it. Like this was definitely just promotion. Like, okay. So they're really just helping to promote it. There's no point. So, uh, Rev Noir, we got, um, that one, uh, Rhapsody and Scarlet. Oh yeah. That's coming from Konami. Yeah.

[00:25:49] Um, then you've got, uh, source Zenith. So we're getting, uh, that game is getting an update. Um, some new, you know, some new quality of life things. You got slash zero. Mm. Uh, stupid never dies. That one looked interesting, but I won't, I don't think I'm going to play it. It looked fun. It looked fun. Like, but you know, it's going to have a, it's its own group. Right.

[00:26:17] Um, so the eminence in shadow. That one's coming next year. Yeah. Um, on Canyon. As well. That's coming from, uh, the creator of maquette and then Jason's favorite game until dawn to, uh, consequence trailer. So it's showing off a bit more, uh, what's coming in January.

[00:26:47] Oh my God. Uh, you got worse. Uh, where the seeds fall coming from, uh, side games edge. You've got world phase bound control authority. And that that's it. So like, for me, I look at everything in the state of play. I'm just like, eh. Yeah. I'm saying.

[00:27:14] So let's, let's jump over, jump over to the other side because then we got to not only do we have this state of plays two state of plays before I flew to Colorado on that Thursday. Then last Tuesday, as I'm traveling home, we got the first of two directs. Um, and, and this one hit home. It is 40th anniversary direct Ocarina of Time.

[00:27:47] And, you know, I think, I think this kind of was okay. Having it as its own, it could have been merged into the bigger direct to, to kind of be a little bit longer direct, but it is the 40th anniversary of Zelda. Um, but Ocarina of time, like we all know, like we've talked about this for a while.

[00:28:09] I needed a reason to get a switch to because up until this point, it's just all been, you know, essentially ports, you know, just with right hands graphics. Right. Um, the gameplay they showed off for Ocarina of time. Holy smokes. Oh yeah.

[00:28:31] Um, and then another game we'll talk about here when we get to the direct from Wednesday, those two games right there were like, okay, it's time to go get a switch too. Um, so, um, and then I believe I've, uh, mentioned on the podcast before that. Um, I was always interested in the switch too, but I was not going to buy the first console.

[00:28:56] I was always going to look for an addition when it comes out and it turns on, it turns out it's finally come out. Yeah. So now I am definitely interested in getting this, uh, this console, this switch too. Hopefully you can get one. Uh, so that's the other thing. I'm just going to have to be patient because obviously all the bots right now have gotten them up for $800 or more on eBay. Yeah. They're averaging around 800, uh, to a thousand dollars.

[00:29:25] Now it's, it's so ridiculous, but, uh, you know, yeah, only, but, uh, you know, just going to have to be a patient, wait for the restock or, you know, things to kind of level out. But yeah, now that, now that this is out, I clearly, uh, have a goal to, you know, get a switch to now. Uh, even though I still have, I do have orc, uh, orcuring of time, um, pre-ordered for the switch too.

[00:29:54] And I will buy it even before I get a switch. The reason we all have it pre-ordered is, um, well, one, uh, Jason, this'll make you happy. I pre-ordered it physically. There we go. Wow. Yeah. Welcome to the show. For a couple of reasons. Um, so if you go, if you go look at the size of the switch to games, they're averaging 20 to 30 gig per.

[00:30:25] So that eats up the memory really quick because, um, the switch too has an onboard of 256. Inexpensive wise, you can get a 256 card. Um, for about 50, 60 bucks. If you want anything bigger, you're going to have to spend well over a hundred dollars, uh, you know, to get one. So for one, doing it on the physical card, all the data is going to be on the card. No brainer.

[00:30:51] Secondly, is all of the first run games will have a foil insert. So they're going to be kind of special in their own way. Um, any subsequent run on Ocarina of time is just going to be the standard insert that we're used to having on the games. Oh, yep.

[00:31:17] So I've already started looking at games to start pulling off of my switch to digitally and move to physical. Um, so I was able to score, um, Metro prime four, which I'm going to go back and finish. Um, I'm moving that to, to physical. It was a, it was on sale best buy, uh, for 40 bucks for the switch one version. And I already have the switch, uh, to upgrade pass pack already bought because I had it digitally.

[00:31:46] So I, all I have to do is swap it out and I'm good. Um, but that's going to pull almost 30 gig off my, off my memory, you know, and just move it over to the car. So, yeah. Um, then we got the, uh, legend of Zelda movies coming out, uh, April 30th. Yep.

[00:32:08] Um, and also was, um, uh, officially, uh, told us that that will be the, the final performance of, uh, Sam Neill in that movie. Yep. He had just wrapped his, his role. So given his, the look with him in the beard and everything, it wouldn't be surprising if he's playing Zelda's dad. Cool. The king of Hyrule.

[00:32:39] Yeah. You know, but we'll see. Um, but we also got that we're getting two new Amiibos. We're getting young link and young Zelda and they look amazing. Um, I've heard, I'm glad I already got them pre-ordered because they are sold out pre-order wise pretty much everywhere. You know, Nintendo GameStop, um, Best Buy. So, um, what's funny is they don't even come out until next year. Yeah. Yeah.

[00:33:08] They might come back out. They, you know, they might allow more pre-orders, but, uh, yeah, the first run they were very hard to get. Yeah. A pre-order. Yeah. And you're going to like, all they're going to do is, you know, um, but the fact that they're just gorgeous Amiibos though. It's Amiibos. Like the quality, their quality that they're doing is they're almost like mini statues at this point now.

[00:33:35] Um, then you are getting a 40th anniversary. That's also sold on. It looks gorgeous. It is sold out everywhere. Uh, this particular one with a stand is going to be exclusive at, uh, through the Nintendo store, New York and San Francisco. You know, you're not going to be able to get it exclusive. Exclusive. Exclusive. And it's already sold out on the Nintendo store online.

[00:34:04] So, um, again, a lot of bots hit the, hit the website super quick. Yeah. And it worked out everything. Yeah. No joke. Um, with it. Yep. Um, so you're getting, uh, you know, they're doing a version without the stand again. That's already sold out as well. Uh, you're getting a carrying case, um, which is cool. It's got a little themed, uh, cleaning cloth with it as well.

[00:34:31] Um, which I also think, uh, I think you can still pre-order or purchase right now, which is the case is still available. The Nintendo store. You're able to get it through it. Yeah. Um, and there's your, there's your switch, Jerry. Look at those. Like, Oh God, I love the green. I love the green. Yeah, man. It's subtle enough.

[00:34:59] And even with the pro controller, like the design on the front, I love it. It's not like overly crazy. You know, it's subtle. It looks, it looks good. So, uh, I like it. Also, they announced that we're getting a link in Epona. Yeah. That's right. Uh, Lego set. Nobody knows what the cost is coming out next year. So it was just kind of announced. That's it.

[00:35:27] Um, so overall, um, you know, if I can get one of the pro controllers, I'm going to pick one of those up. Uh, yeah. Um, and then, um, on top of that, and we'll lead into the switch to, uh, direct and stuff like that. Um, we got other Amiibos coming for Metroid. Yeah. Which, yes, I have those pre-ordered.

[00:35:54] Which someone also had to pre-order them. Yes. I mean, come on. As big of a Metroid fan as I am and not to do at least the Chozo statue. Like. Oh, yeah. But it was funny when, uh, when I was telling you, like, oh, I'm really sad because I even told you, I'm like, I'm really surprised you didn't get the other Amiibos. Like, what are you talking about? It's just, you thought it was just the one that was offering on the deluxe edition? Deluxe, yes. And then when you went back, you're like, hmm. Yeah. Yeah. I might have to look at these again.

[00:36:25] Yeah. And I'll be happy if I can just get these two. Right. If I can't get the Metroid one, I'll just hunt for it, you know, and eventually find it for a good deal. Yeah. We got places we know we can hunt for it at least. So. Yep. Um, so let's look at all the announcements from. The Direct. So, yeah. Monster Hunter Wilds is coming to the Switch 2 on December 4th.

[00:36:51] Um, and the expansion will be coming in 2027. Uh, they did launch Final Fantasy 7 Crisis Core. Oh, yeah. That is already available. We weren't too keen on this one, right, Matt? This was the roulette one. Yeah, I played it. I finished it. I actually finished Crisis Core. Oh, you didn't? I did not finish it. And that was about a month or two. No, about a month ago I finished it. I actually went back to it. Oh, wow. It's decent.

[00:37:21] Um, but I think what's a little bit disappointing in this is that they are not doing any type of upgrade for it. So for those that own Crisis Core on the Switch, which I had before I bought it on the PlayStation for cheap, you can't upgrade it. You're going to have to go buy the full version again. So whereas like Final Fantasy Tactics, they did a free upgrade, um, to the Switch 2 version with Crisis Core.

[00:37:49] They are doing no upgrade for it. And it is a key card as well. So you might as well just go buy it digitally. Um, uh, you've got Hyrule Warriors Age of Calamity Definitive Edition coming February 25th. Oh, that's right. Um, it includes the expansion pass as well as you are able to use your save data from the Switch version in this game. That's right. Yep.

[00:38:17] Uh, so you've got Mecha Chameleon. It's just like a hide and seek multiplayer game is going to be coming to Switch 2. Is it really? Uh, I mean, I personally haven't played it, but I've been seeing one watching people play it. It's actually really good. If you are a Bernard person, not then, you know, it's still funny as hell. Um, you've got, uh, Pokemon Pocopia is its expansion. Part two is going to be coming out. Yep.

[00:38:46] Uh, coming out later this year. Uh, Star Fox got a free update. Yep. Um, I'm actually just starting to play in the... A few more, I think two or three more, uh, worlds as well. They added some more. Yep. So it's for battle modes. You're getting a local split screen multiplayer for battle mode, uh, with three new stages, Katina, Sector X and Venom. Uh, it's also bringing four player online multiplayer.

[00:39:15] Uh, so we can have four players sitting on one Switch 2 and playing online multiplayer at the same time. Dope. Okay. Uh, and then they also, uh, added Star Fox Adventures to the GameCube. That's right. Uh, virtual console. Mm-hmm. Um, I remember playing that on the GameCube. It was so funny. It was, it was fun. It was okay. It was okay. I mean, it was fun. I wasn't saying it's like, it's great, but it was fun, you know?

[00:39:45] Yeah. So, you know, a good tie in there. It was, it was a different story and like a whole, like a different atmosphere. Like it was, it was okay. It was, I still think it was poorly executed, but it was a different kind of direction. Yeah. I get that. They tried. So, uh, Kingdom Come, Deliverance 2 Royal Edition is coming to the Switch 2. Um, next year.

[00:40:10] Uh, Professor Layton and the, the new world of Steam is coming to the Switch and Switch 2. That looked fun. On December 10th. You know, um, for all of you fans, uh, Professor Layton, it's, it's right up the normal Professor Layton alley. Uh, you got Yo-Kai Watch 2, Haunted Domain. Uh, didn't have a date on it, but it is, it is coming to the Switch 2. Uh, Pikmin 4. Yeah, Pikmin 4.

[00:40:39] Uh, is getting a Nintendo Switch 2 edition. Uh, you can pre-order the upgrade. I think it was like five bucks, if I remember correctly, when I was looking at it. It's going to be coming with an expansion, a Dandori Academy, which allows you to kind of do some other side stuff, uh, related to Pikmin. Also, you're going to be able to do voice commands through, uh, the mic on the Switch to, you know, praise Ochi. Um, have him do commands, uh, which is kind of cool. Cool tie-in for it.

[00:41:09] Um, I don't plan on upgrading our copy of Pikmin 4. Um, at least anytime soon, unless the kids really, really want to. So, I are getting, uh, Onyx the Dark Grip. It is a 2.5D horror game coming next year. Uh, Xenoblade 3, uh, Switch edition. Uh, that will be coming, uh, to the Switch 2. There wasn't a date that I remember seeing for it.

[00:41:38] So, I'm assuming probably end of year, beginning of next year. Maybe 27, probably. Yeah, probably something along that. Uh, Stage Fright is coming to Switch 2 and Switch 1 in 2027. It looks fun. You know, we're trying to just get out of escape room. And it takes on that whole, like, um, what was it? Split screen? Uh, it takes two. It takes two, you know, those type of games where you actually have to work together.

[00:42:07] To get out of the escape rooms. Because you could be in one room and somebody's in the other. And they're connected. That's right. You know? Um, so you got Dreamlight Valley. Uh, Keepsake King. Uh, Keepsake Sea. Uh, that one's gonna be, uh, coming to both Switch 2 and Switch. For anybody that's got Dreamlight Valley. Uh, it's a little, uh, Little Mermaid themed. So, you're gonna have also, uh, Milo Thatch from Atlantis. Megara from Hercules. And, of course, Jack Sparrow from Pirates of the Caribbean.

[00:42:36] Coming, uh, November. Uh, Ondae, Ondae, uh, Kaya's Tasty Tail. Um, it looked, it was, it was alright. Um, that one's gonna be coming, uh, to Switch next year. Uh, then you have the new Kirby Air Riders Amiibos that are coming. You're gonna get Sword Kirby riding on Dragoon. And, and Noir, D, D, D, and the Hydra. Um, coming November.

[00:43:06] Uh, Karen. Coming. This is interesting, but also a bit frustrating. But, yeah, it definitely looked interesting. Correct. Yeah, this is the one where you get to climb mountains. Um, it's gonna be similar, kinda, that you're gonna have to worry about your stamina and everything. Like, you have to, and, like, Breath of the Wild when you're climbing mountains. Uh, rain's gonna, you know, weather's gonna be taken into consideration. Yeah.

[00:43:31] So, um, Resident Evil's 2, 3, and 4 remakes are gonna be coming to the Switch October 16th. They were gonna be coming digitally. They won't be coming physically. Um, but, the fact is, they're, you know, Resident Evil 2, 3, and 4 remakes are coming to the Switch, you know. Um, that's a good, that's a good chunk of the best early, uh, like, first games that, that were made.

[00:44:01] So, yeah, that's awesome. And then, I immediately thought of you, man. The other game, the other game that made me buy a Switch. Yeah. Metroid Ravenous. Um, as much as I love Metroid Prime, I will always be more of a fan of the side-scrollers. And this is, uh, Mercury Steam. The same guys that did Dread are doing this one. I cannot wait. It looks awesome.

[00:44:27] Um, you know, it is a direct sequel to Metroid Dread because she is starting off with the suit. Um, and it starts off with, she's just like, I was attacked by another assailants. Okay. And she has sustained cravings. Like, in the, in the trailer, it literally shows somebody stabbing her through with a blade. And she just pulls herself straight off of it.

[00:44:56] You know? Um, so it is, you know, we're seeing, you know, a dash that, you know, she could warp through walls. We're getting, um, you know, her parry mechanic. Uh, and then we're getting a siphon ability. Where she's basically absorbing the life force from something like it was, like, she is a Metroid.

[00:45:21] You know, where we're used to, like, if you go back to Super Metroid, where you see the Metroid come in, um, toward the latter part of the game where it sucks the life, the life force out of something. It just crumbles to dust. Um, it is coming with a, uh, a special edition that we kind of alluded to. It is sold out everywhere. Of course. Thanks, bots. And it is up on eBay for like $250, $300 already.

[00:45:45] Um, and it is coming with a steelbook, the game, and a very specific amiibo. Which you will understand, uh, if you, you just have to see the trailer and you'll understand what, um, this is considered her Metroid form. Yeah. Uh, they call it the Samus Metroid suit figure.

[00:46:12] So it's, you know, so that, you know what, I'm going to try and get it, but if I can't, I'm not going to be completely upset, you know, about not getting the clerks. I'm sure I can probably get ahold of the steelbook and the figure later, like I could with Metroid dread. Um, and then we got updates for Mario cart world. It was a free update.

[00:46:39] Um, that was available on Wednesday of last week. All, uh, the 10 stages from super Mario cart are coming, including cocoa Island, vanilla lake and ghost Valley. You're getting two, two more knockout tour courses. Um, and that was a free update. Uh, Jason immediately thought of you seeing another trailer for Mega Man dual override. This looks so good.

[00:47:07] And it also comes with two amiibos as well. Yes. That will be available on launch. As well. Uh, in turn. So I gotta ask you this, Jason, are you getting it? Right. Uh, dual override. Yes. I will right away. All right. All right. Eventually, probably, but I mean, not right away. And there are your amiibos. Yeah.

[00:47:36] I kind of want the amiibos though, but the game itself, not right away. Well, I mean, like I played Mega Man, uh, as my secondary, uh, for, uh, smash, you know? So it'd be fun to have. Um, so yeah, eternal, uh, anima coming, um, you know, at some point they didn't really give a release date for this. Oh, sorry. Take it back. It's coming March 4th. They did update it on here.

[00:48:03] Um, then you've got, uh, Danganronpa 2x2 coming in January. Fatal Fury City of Wolves. That will be coming to Switch 2 October 22nd. And then a physical version is coming in January. We're getting a new, uh, Metal Slug, uh, Ultimate Collection. It's going to be 10 Metal Slug games, which I used to play those all the time on the Neo Geo Machine that used to be in the arcade.

[00:48:33] Um, then, uh, Yu-Gi-Oh! is getting, uh, a new game coming in February for both Switch and Switch 2. Um, Romancing Saga 3 coming in February. Uh, they did kind of a partner spotlight montage. So, it was first, uh, 007 First Light is coming in, uh, at some point this year.

[00:49:01] Far Cry 3 Classic Edition coming in the spring. Oh, wow. Also, they're going to do Blood Dragon. You're getting The Crew Motor Fest, which that's been on the PlayStation for an Xbox for a while. We got to play that at E3. Um, Apothecary Diaries coming in, uh, 27. House Flipper 2. Sonic Pico Park. Dragon Quest Monsters Wither World. Uh, the demo is out now.

[00:49:28] You're getting Dragon Quest Heroes or, uh, Torneko's Mystery Dungeon Classic High Def. Hela of Mice and Magic. Um, Cellar Blade Complete Edition is coming in November. It Takes Two, which we were kind of talking about that. It's coming October 15th. Cool. Bluey's Happy Snaps coming October 15th. It's a, that's a good kids game where you're basically kind of taking, you know, kind of

[00:49:55] being a photographer and looking for very specific things to take pictures of. Um, and then Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy is coming November 5th. Kind of a deep cut. And talk about a very underrated and underappreciated game. Uh, yeah. Uh, it was alright. I was, you know, it was, it was alright. I wasn't like a huge fan of it, but yeah, I, it was, I think it was underrated though. Like the mechanics were great. I just, it just didn't. The story was good.

[00:50:24] I thought like, like how Spider-Man was kind of set apart in itself, in its own world within the Marvel universe. This Guardians game did that as well. And the story itself was just like, I would play it again if I didn't have such a backlog. Like it was a really, it was a really good game. Uh, Persona 4 revival is coming in May. Oh, sweet.

[00:50:53] Um, and then, um, a relaunch to Persona 4 is coming, uh, February 18th on the other platforms. Then Persona 6, uh, which was already for the PS5 and Xbox series announcements. It has been confirmed for Switch 2 as well. Oh, uh, Kirby and the World Beyond. So new Kirby game coming in the spring. I'm not going to lie.

[00:51:20] Uh, at the, this was a slow starter in with the trailer during the direct. And, uh, I don't think I'm alone in, in some of the YouTubers that were, uh, streaming the, the direct as well. Um, I, I at first thought it was a Mario game. Um, like we were getting a Mario game, but then it was a nice surprise that it was Kirby. So it was cool. So real quick, going back to like the free, the Mario cart, they're putting the question

[00:51:47] mark panels on the ground, just like in Mario carts on the super. Oh, classic. Oh, that's cool. Instead of it being the floating boxes, it's, you just drive straight on over them. So. Cause that came, that came super Nintendo, right? That was the launch of Mario cart. Uh, it was super Mario cart. You had eight characters. I think. Yeah. Mario boxes. Yeah. That's cool. Donkey Kong. Bowser. To think about.

[00:52:17] Koopa. Toad. Maybe it was only six. Hmm. Oh, peach and Yoshi. Yeah. So there was eight. Back in 92. Two. So. So, yeah. So.

[00:52:47] Those are. I mean, we had a lot of gaming news, um, which I think is great because we've been kind of. Devoid of it for a while, like really substantial. Hey, here's a bunch of games coming out. Right. Um, especially when you had games com and you had, you know, with Jeff Keighley opening night live. Yep. We didn't get a lot there either. So. Um, overall.

[00:53:15] I think the, for me, the Nintendo direct was a little bit stronger than the PlayStation one. Yeah. Oh, God. Agreed. Yeah. Yeah. Although I would say with the PlayStation direct, it's a bit hopeful because we're getting a lot of, uh, newer, um, and different types of games. Uh, you know, they're just not well known or maybe they're the start of a franchise. We just have to see.

[00:53:44] At the end of the day though, just remember, nobody's going to care. Nobody's going to know because in two months, GTA six drops. And the world blows up. Dude, there's videos. There's videos. That's right, baby. Nintendo is going, Nintendo is releasing Ocarina in November. I'm like, dude, that, and I agree with them. It's like two different platforms. Like it's two different genres. Like. Yeah. That's. People are going to. People. Goodbye.

[00:54:11] It's only because Nintendo can do that and they understand why they can do that. And that's because. Yeah. Yeah. They understand we're a separate. We're. We know we're separate from that and we're going to be okay. They're, they're going to make their sales. Yep. Oh God. Yeah. I'm not getting. I mean, here's the thing is I'm not getting grand. There's most. Or grand theft auto six. You know? Yeah. It just doesn't interest me. You're. You're the demographic. They're thinking of. They're still thinking of their fans.

[00:54:40] They're, they're still going to go and get it. They're probably. I don't think it's going to be the same week as GTA. That would be a bit ambitious. They're two weeks apart. Oh yeah. See, at least that. But I, yeah, I can definitely understand like, oh no, we're, we, we're not worried. Nintendo just say, oh no, we're not worried. But that's the thing. We have our fans there. They're going to buy it. And we're not, you know, same with rock star at GTA. They know what they're going to buy. In fact, some of those fans are going to buy both. Arena. Yep.

[00:55:10] That's the thing. They, they, they, yeah, they have nothing to lose. They're not in that. Yeah. They're not in that crazy fight. That's like with Xbox and Sony, you know, competing. So like, yeah, that Nintendo's in the best position. Nintendo's just sitting there, sitting back, just letting everybody take losses and shit. And if they get a question like, why did you, you know, why did you choose November? Isn't that like dangerous? Nope.

[00:55:39] We're good. Nope. We're Nintendo doing Nintendo things. Yeah, exactly. We're doing Nintendo things. Yeah, exactly. So, um, Jason, what you been watching? What you been playing? Um, well, one thing, uh, my wife finally beat RE9. Nice. Very nice. Uh, she understands. Well, she knows that there's going to be RE10 now.

[00:56:10] It is interesting. Um, what else? Uh, I've been watching some Japanese drama. Uh, some, I should say Japanese reality show. Um, and that's it really. Like, I've been really keeping up with a lot of stuff.

[00:56:34] Uh, I'm at a, at a pause in the, in the, the telenovela just because, uh, Netflix only has eight up to eight. So, the other ones, nine, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15. They're all, uh, unattainable at the moment. They're unattainable at the moment. So, uh, you know, that's just ridiculousness on pause.

[00:57:04] Um, uh, what else is there? Um, yeah, other than that, just that, nothing else really, uh, nothing else coming to mind, you know? About to head to Vegas in a couple weeks. So, uh. Nice. And, uh, what is this for? That's for, uh, bowling. My bowling league, bro. Bowling? That's tight. Yeah.

[00:57:34] Right on. Yeah. Okay. Nothing else. You know me, Jerry? Jerry? Uh, let's see. Um, uh, I'm just, uh, taking my time and just thoroughly enjoying Onimusha. Uh, and then, um, I'm not, uh, I'm, that's, that's why I'm kind of taking my time and I didn't rush to get Wolverine. I am going to get that next week, uh, during payday. Okay.

[00:58:02] So, uh, I'm excited for Wolverine and then that should hold me over until, uh, GTA. Oh, GTA. I can't wait. And then, um, let's see. I'm finishing up. I have two more episodes of Paradise. Uh, I'm finishing up. That was really good. Uh, I will, I will say, uh, Shailene Woodley recently just won the Emmy, uh, for her guest star appearance on that show and it was deserved. She was really good.

[00:58:31] Like it was like very heartfelt, like, uh, uh, role. It was very good. And, um, yeah, and I've just kind of been going through, um, some older movies here and there and slowly getting some movies that I've been, uh, wanting to get. Like, uh, I got Michael, Manorin and Grogu, Supergirl. I, I recommend Batman and Nightfall, uh, Batman Nightfall, dude, the animated movie.

[00:59:00] It's on my account. I definitely recommend it, dude. It's, it's like probably one close to Phantasm, like one of the best animated Batman movies I've seen. Okay. Okay. Yeah. And then I got the newer updated, uh, Dracula, which I still have to see, but I, I heard it's like comparative to, to Bram Stoker's. Like it's pretty good.

[00:59:26] So I'm going to give that one a try and watch that, but yeah, I've just been slowly watching that. And then, uh, let's see. Did I finish anything on Apple TV yet? That's about it. And then I want to see, uh, Mayday. And that's the plan. Matt, what about you? Nice.

[00:59:48] Um, well, my PlayStation hasn't been turned on in like a week because I've been playing around with the switch to obviously, um, how, how does it feel? How is it? It is great. And I want to, I want to say this, that although I'm not a fan of the price difference between physical and digital, I, I am okay with, you know, with what we've talked about in the past is that.

[01:00:17] For that $10 more to have a physical copy that we actually have and, you know, can go trade in and stuff like that. If we don't want to is I think it worth the extra 10 bucks. Nice. To have a case and a cartridge. Um, you heard it here, folks. Matt said physical. Yeah. I said physical. So yeah, so I'm still buying some games, uh, digitally and whatnot. Um.

[01:00:47] But, uh, I did the upgrade for Mario wonder. You know, I started playing that a little bit. It's kind of fun. Um, the kids had a blast with it. They went through all the cooplings tonight. Um, I, I did start over on cosmic invasion. Uh, I picked up the, the switch to version. And. You got that. How fun is that one? Uh, well, I was having a blast with it on just the standard switch.

[01:01:17] You know? Um, but I went ahead and got the switch to version today and it is it graphically. It's better. You know, it looks prettier. Oh yeah. A little bit cleaner on the graphics. Um. Um. Um. And of course I am on my bullshit. Even more. Uh, back to the animal crossing. The addiction is back. And I did pay for the upgrade. Nice. Oh, we got it on the switch. I did pay the $10 for the switch to upgrade. Um.

[01:01:47] That's awesome. You know, that's when I just, I'll keep digitally. I probably won't buy it, pick up the physical copy unless I can get it cheap. Um, but. You know, one of the big, my big complaints was, especially with my Island, just how everything is and just the processor on the switch, it would slow down, you know, as you're running by stuff because I had to render everything, uh, with the switch to version, there is no pause. It just keep on trucking.

[01:02:16] Everything's moving. Normal speed. Everything looks great. You know, having fun with it. Um, I'm going to make Jerry jealous because one of the games I am going to start is when waker, you know, and I'm going to play it how it should be played. Oh, that's awesome.

[01:02:45] I got this back at launch of the switch to, right? We, we talked about this on the podcast back then because I knew these were going to sell out quickly. So I grabbed one, you know, ahead of time knowing eventually I would get a switch to. So I cannot wait to actually legitimately play wind waker like it was back. That's cool, dude. You know, 2001. Um, unfortunately it's not going to be like the, the, the high definition version of it

[01:03:15] that came out on the Wii where you get the, the sail for the boat, which just makes it just, you don't have to worry about changing wind and stuff like you had to in the original. Um, this one's the actual game cube version. I believe the actual game cube version. Um, I, I do plan to probably dive back into Luigi's mansion one as well as one of my absolute favorite fire emblems of all time.

[01:03:42] Uh, path of radiance is on the game cube virtual console. I plan to dive into that one. That's that is the fire emblem that got me hooked on fire emblem was path of radiance. Um, and I still think it's better than engage and three houses and all of that. So I plan to be playing, um, that. And then of course, Mario cart world diving into that. Um, free roam is a lot of fun.

[01:04:10] Um, I do like, you know, some of the races, Jason, I think when you and I were talking about it, I can see how with the courses, once you master them, especially the shortcuts, I can see how people are just going to own everybody with it, you know, but I'm having fun with it. Just playing with a computer and just driving around the kids, uh, playing with the, you know, that's, Oh yeah. And like the kids were playing it.

[01:04:33] There's a, there's a secret land mode on the switch, uh, that you can unlock for the specifically in the menu for Mario, uh, car world. You hold down the left and right, uh, buttons and then click in on the left stick and it unlocks it. So what you do is you go in, you create yourself a room and go. And then basically the kids are able to play free, free roam together and run around chasing each other.

[01:05:02] So they were playing tag, like literally throwing items at each other to try and tag each other. You know, it was, they were having a blast with it. So, um, it's definitely something I think is, is worth picking up from a family game perspective. Um, and I can't believe I have so many games pre-ordered already. Like right now I've got switch sports, uh, resort Ocarina of time.

[01:05:34] Metroid, uh, Final Fantasy seven. Yeah. And I've got Final Fantasy seven. Final Fantasy. You know, I need to do, I need to do residence as well for Final Fantasy. Um, that one I just need to decide which console I'm going to do it on. Um, am I going to do it on switch two so I can have it on the go or am I going to do it on the PlayStation? I think all I have is, uh, Final Fantasy. Mm-hmm. Um, Ocarina.

[01:06:02] Uh, dang, is there anything else that might actually be it? GTA. Uh, GTA, obviously. Yeah. Yeah. And you did have, uh, Wolverine pre-ordered. Wolverine is, uh, pre-ordered. Yeah. I'm going to pick that up next week. Um, other than that, yeah, I don't really have that many. You're picking up next week? It came out today. Especially with, huh? Wolverine came out today. You're going to wait until next week to go pick it up? Yeah. Yeah.

[01:06:28] Because I'm getting it, uh, I'm still playing Onimusha and then I'm getting it, uh, during pay week. Ah, there we go. Yeah. So, so yeah, I can be patient a little bit. I'm still playing Onimusha, like I said. I also, uh, I also finished, uh, almost done with a full reach, uh, rewatch of Transformers. Oh, yeah. And thanks, thanks to you too. I, I finished a rewatch of the, the live actions and the movie, the animated movie. Yeah.

[01:06:58] Very good. Which there's, uh, I, I plan to try and go see the original in theaters. Because, uh, there is supposed to be, uh, an added scene at the end of the movie. That was Peter Cullen's last. Essentially role. Oh, cool. Oh yeah. So that last role is going to be Transformers Awakening.

[01:07:23] Uh, it's coming out of Netflix, but I do believe it's coming in theaters first and that's going to be Peter Cullen's final, uh, role, which is still going to be Optimus Prime. And then, uh, Jason, uh, I was, um, wondering if the wife or yourself are ever interested in playing, um, uh, oh God, man. What is it? Oh, Liza P. I don't know if you guys have played that already.

[01:07:54] And it's actually, it's called Optimus Prime. We might have it. Optimus Prime Awakening. Oh, okay. Cool. If you do, uh, I just, I still heard some good news. Uh, I heard some good news about the company, that publisher that made it, they're doing a sequel and, uh, I don't want to spoil the end of it, but it's also, it's going to be called Wonders of O as in Wonders of Oz. Ooh.

[01:08:20] Cause the ending, uh, was, the ending was kind of split for me, but it was like an end credit scene essentially. But, uh, yeah. Don't spoil it for me, bro. I won't. I won't. That's all I want to tell you. But, uh, but a cool sequel is out. But because I know you guys like, I like playing those kinds of games. So, Jerry, Liza P is dope. And I do have it. If you want to borrow it.

[01:08:45] Optimus Prime Awakening is actually a 12 minute animated short film that is going to be in theaters along. It takes place along with Transformers the movie. Uh, it's going to be in select theaters. Um, it is immediately after the full screening of Transformers the movie. And it's only the week. It's basically the 17th through the 22nd are the only days that it's going to be in theaters.

[01:09:14] That's, that's the, so that's also what you were talking about. That's his final performance. Yeah. It's called, that's what it was, Awakening. And it looks, the animation and everything, it looks really cool. Mm-hmm. Yeah. So I. Yeah, Jason, let me know. If you, if you want to play that too. I plan on going to see the movie in theaters. So I hope my theater has it. In general. Yeah. Mm-hmm.

[01:09:42] So anyway, so with that, I want to thank everyone for Crashing Game Night with us. Uh, I feel like we've heard, as always, drop us a follow on the platform that you're watching or listening to us on. Uh, you can go over to crashinggamenight.com to check our past guests. Um, now that I'm officially going to be cleared from rehab, I already have guests that I've already been talking to that I'm going to start getting scheduled to get us out through the, the rest of the year. Um, I just want to get rid of, I just want to get through rehab.

[01:10:11] Um, especially this, this week has been an emotional rollercoaster because it's seven months coming to an end. Um, yes, I'll still do, um, go down for phase three at the hospital a couple of times every other week. Um, use their facility and then I'll do like a gym membership supplemental in here, you know, where I live too. So I don't have to drive down as much. Um, but. You know, uh, it's been a long journey.

[01:10:38] So, um, with everything kind of just going on in the world right now, it just seems to be getting stupider and stupider every day. Uh, especially now with the, uh, the talk of how AI may just end humanity by the end of the decade. Um, you know, uh, can't say we didn't warn you with Skynet, but, uh, with that, just please be excellent to each other. That's right, everyone.

[01:11:05] We want to send you off with that same message, uh, just to, you know, uh, once again, just let's try and, uh, be better out there. Let's try to do better. Let's try to seize opportunities to help each other out because once again, it is, uh, you know, it's crazy out there. You know, everyone is still voicing their opinions on certain things and certain administrations.

[01:11:32] So it's just, uh, you know, uh, try to listen, try to have an open mind and let's just all just be safe and, uh, respect each other out there. So, uh, yeah, everyone be safe. J-Bone, J-Rock to you, my babe, my bro. What's up, dog? What's up, dude? Yeah. I mean, like, it's...

[01:12:02] Oh, there he goes. There he goes. We're, we're, we're mid, uh, we're mid, uh, September, you know, people are in school again. Oh my God, yeah. Nothing, yeah, nothing, nothing really. Just, hey, just take care of yourself. Nothing really to report this time around. We're, we're on our way to Thanksgiving, Halloween, and the holidays all over again. And it's about to get crazy. Yeah. We're chilling right now, though.

[01:12:32] Yeah, I mean, I don't know how my boy, my man Theo got here tonight, you know? That's okay. That's all right. We miss him. We miss him. I don't know. I guess I'll send it out to one of you guys. You know what, Jerry? Go ahead and take it. Go ahead and take it this time. Just, you, you, do you, boo. You, do you. I mean, it's... Oh, thanks, man. Weird. It's, it's weird. It's weird, uh... I'm not... Weird, dude. You know, I'm, I'm gonna take the defeated, you know, jaded, uh, intro there, uh, with,

[01:13:01] with some context, you know? That was... The pity outro, you know? I guess, you know, I'll take what I can get. Hey, everyone. Thank you for watching. Thank you for listening. TTFN. Ta-ta for now. Hey! Good luck, everybody. There you go. See ya. It is awful right here. Oh, dude.
