[00:04:04] get a lot of people to come in and say, you know, I'm not sure what it was. And greed. I definitely liked that they opened it up quite a bit. Like there was quite the large section. In the back that was opened up this time around.
[00:04:16] I didn't know that was possible, but. I really appreciate that they did that. I feel like the. At the very least, the aisle ways were slightly larger, which was nice for going through. Especially with a wagon. Yeah. I was like, oh my God, it was.
[00:04:36] I did like that they expanded on the kids lab area. I walked around a little bit of that. And I saw there's quite a few activities for kids and not necessarily just for kids, but like people wanting.
[00:04:50] To learn things. I saw that there was a Pokemon card battle demo. You could learn and everything. I thought that was pretty cool. I mean, I also did it with a little, I'm not sure if you can see the video,
[00:05:05] but we're also doing like a little like theater area. So kids could learn down go down and learn about like special effects. Patricia summer said, did a how to become a voice actor segment over there as well. Okay. Yeah. So when you walked into the lab area,
[00:05:21] it was over on the left hand side. It was a little carpeted area. You could sit down at and I had a little presentation area. Yeah. I was like, I'm going to sit down and sit down for a second. I didn't know she was doing anything there. Yeah.
[00:05:33] Yeah. When we walked over there, we were just doing it as a place to just sit down for a second while we were waiting for our time to go catch. I think it was to wait in line for you for re Larson. Yay. Thanks.
[00:05:47] So we just offset down for a minute. And there was just like a schedule off on the side. Okay. So. I appreciate it. Yeah. I referenced the wagon, right? Because we took, we took a co-dog on Saturday, which, oh my God,

[00:11:36] the best villains in gaming. Um, but he also plays the Don Don Corneo and Final Fantasy remake. And that is awesome. And as he signed it, he did the little Don Corneo laugh. And it was hilarious. Um, that's cool. Even as he was signing this,
[00:11:59] he was doing Seren's voice as he wrote out the line. Oh, cool. Um, and then finally the one that I thought that I wouldn't get. Just because Jennifer was late and she didn't get in until get to the convention center until like 2 30 on Friday.
[00:12:15] So by the time they got through the line, it was late, but, um, Keith David. We all know as the arbiter and Halo. Um, the witch doctor in princess and the frog. Um, president in Rick and Morty. Yeah. He's also, um, Goliath and Gargoyle surprised. Um,
[00:12:34] but he's also captain Anderson or councilman Anderson, depending on how you go with the game and your choices, but I was able to get. His autograph right there. Sweet. With Anderson's pictures. Oh, that's tight. To Matt. All the best. Love Keith David. Oh, that's cool. Man. That's so.
[00:12:59] And then, um, so. Friday. Um, also too, along with this in between, waiting for Jennifer and stuff like that. Um, I was able to go with my wife to get Jim Beavers autograph. Um, he plays Bobby in supernatural. Nice. Um, tell everybody what else he did.
[00:13:23] Kind of hit on my way. No, it was playful. Um, so we're standing there. He, you know, he asked my wife's name and he's like, Oh, okay. And he looks at me and he goes. So who are you in relation to her? And I was like,
[00:13:38] I'm her husband and he's like, well, that answers my next question. Ha ha ha ha. And then he proceeded to ask her, have you ever written on the back of a Harley before? Oh my God. So it was all in fun.
[00:13:51] It was all in fun and he was great about it. Um, and then we did our supernatural picture with the whole entire cast. And I saw that one. That was cool. Damn you, paddlecchi. Okay. So if you look at the picture, right?
[00:14:08] So Jared has his arm around my wife and then he's got reached over and like, has his shoulder. It's almost like tapping your shoulder going. So you're out. He lost the route. It was all in fun, you know, and whatnot.
[00:14:26] And, and Jim either, you know, saw us recognize us and he just kind of gave me this smile. Like, I was like, I was like, well, two more just got added to my wife's hall pass list. Oh my God. That's so funny.
[00:14:41] Um, wait, you know, the ones that including Jim beaver on the hall pass list. Is that what just happened? If she asked if, if he were to ask her out on a date, I can't say no, it's fucking Bobby. You know, all right. But, um,
[00:14:57] So as we got those autographs, we, uh, you know, Theo had his adventures in anime land. I was all over the place. Well, I was stuck in one corner. Really? Yeah, but I heard, uh, yeah, you had a good, you had some
[00:15:11] good days. You had a, you had a, you had some packed full days and packed full days. Yes. I mean, granted what I only got like five people's autographs on Friday. So I got Justin Briner who is the voice of Deku from my hero academia. Sweet.

[00:16:09] there was the voice, uh, Al Jiro in demon Slayer. And. I forget her last name. But, uh, the voice of雪 from one piece as well. So I was in. One quarter and lines forever. Oh cool. was for Zach's. Zach's, I was in there for three hours.
[00:16:35] Is that the last one we went to? It was the last one much when we closed out picking parents over Friday. Yes. It was to the point where like I was still online when they said you have 30 minutes. The floor will will close in 30 minutes.
[00:16:52] So it was like, but at least I was close enough to where I wasn't worried about it. Oh, OK. They while I was trying to talk to Zach, they were trying to announce about reserving your booth location for next year. Oh, my God.
[00:17:08] I was like, OK, this is great. Trying to have a conversation. But no, those those were that was my Friday. It was definitely very filled with getting things. But and yeah, Supernatural was our only photo op that day, right? Friday. Yeah. Yeah, OK. And then Saturday was
[00:17:30] let's hear my wife got her Book of Shadows signed. She has a replica of the Book of Shadows from Charmed. So she got that signed by Holly Marie Combs, who is the only one of the charmed ones actually showed up. Shannon canceled a couple weeks ago.
[00:17:42] Rose canceled last minute. So. Um, yeah. So you guys had that photo op. We got my wife got a sign print from Gina Davis. Oh, which right next door to her was Susan Sarandon. But Susan pulled a Chevy Chase and decided to go all black curtains
[00:18:03] all around her little. Oh, I didn't know she did that. Yes, that was her. It's like sitting in the corner. OK. It's kind of like what Chevy chase it last year on the opposite end where he was all behind black curtain. Wow. Yeah.
[00:18:15] Which is not so bad because like I actually kind of feel like that's a little bit better than what others were word left. To do not necessarily a choice. No cameras. Yeah, it was the crew going no photos, no photos blocking everybody
[00:18:31] from taking photos from a distance, which is fine. I understand. I mean, like there's a more subtle way. It's a better way to, you know, did get an autograph from him, but it did get to see some present Richard Dreyfus kind of pull on up in his little.
[00:18:47] You know, hover around or whatever they're not calm. Like he's he's looking old and like it's. Richard Dreyfus hoverboard. Did he know it's you know, those little like like segways. So they're like Mr. Holland's office, you know, like the little like little like
[00:19:02] motorized wheelchairs that like the grocery stores and stuff like that. Yeah. Oh, OK. I'm one of those. OK. Oh man. Yeah, Dr. Holland's office. I love that movie. I got to say though, my son pretty much had us be in terms of interaction.
[00:19:20] He made out like a bandit. So we took we took Kodak. So the first thing three autographs and pictures. Yeah. So that's awesome. First, we went to Charles Martinette, the voice of Mario. So that was like this is his birthday present, right?
[00:19:36] Was going to come on or Fan Expo to see Mario because we all know we've talked about this and he was there for he's met Kenny James, the voice of Bowser, so we couldn't not have him meet Mario while Mario was in the freaking state.
[00:19:51] So we get up there. He picks a Super Mario Galaxy to print of it's the one of the cover where he's right. Yeah, great choice to be choice out of all the one. It's like the best choice he had. Yeah.
[00:20:03] So Charles signs it and as we're saying, we're telling him, hey, this is his birthday gift. You know, he flips the prints over and does a second signature wishing him a happy birthday on the back of the print. And then does pictures with him and stuff like that.
[00:20:20] So we went right next door to Roger Craig Smith, who plays Sonic. So which is hilarious. They've got Nintendo versus Sega like literally next to each other. Roger went and signed happy birthday on the front of the print. And then because he and Charles had been already doing
[00:20:39] like a back and forth kind of like, you know, battle, so to speak, like Nintendo versus Sega flips the print over and writes, Bowser can't catch me and signs it again. It does pictures with Cody and even did the the Sonic arms behind him. Oh, cool.
[00:20:59] Cody. And then, like he didn't have to do this, but we had told Roger that, hey, you know, my youngest couldn't make it because he's just too young. He's only four, right? There would have been way overwhelming. And he is like, oh, look, a kitty.
[00:21:12] I'm going to go run over there, right? And that was too crowded for him and whatnot. Like, oh, and then we just lost you in the big crowd. Like, yeah, right? So yeah, yeah. So Roger was like, hey, you know what?
[00:21:26] Looked as a citizen said, give me one of those blue Sonic prints and signed one Riley. Oh, no charge. Like just here. Here you go. No problem. So in the meantime, so we ended up, you know, just walking around the day
[00:21:43] while you guys, Wafio and my wife were doing a photo op with Hall and Marie Combs and some other things. I took Cody over just to meet Fred because Fred said, hey, stop by the booth, you know, anytime. Come say hi or whatever. And whatnot. He
[00:22:03] could have looked at the banner at his table and it was like, oh, look, it's Mr. Grupper from Bubble Guppies, which is a show that him and his brother watch all the fricking time. So Fred busted out Mr. Mr. Grupper right then and there for him.
[00:22:18] Dude, he's already making out like a bandit today. There are that day. Oh my gosh. It gets better. It gets so better. So what? Well, just wait. So I think he's only like halfway there. I'm only half day. All right. Yeah.
[00:22:32] So while we're waiting for Theo over with Rosario Dawson, he gets up to the table all of a sudden and like, oh, look, you're there already. So we hopped up with him like, you know, and walked through the line
[00:22:44] and who do you got a fist bump from Rosario Dawson? No. Just straight up this pump. She she's just as gorgeous in person, isn't she? More. She's super nice. She's super nice. She's cool. OK, cool. Cool. That's great. And then while we're waiting a little bit later,
[00:23:07] we're waiting for the Brie Larson lineups, which also good. God. So during that, Cody decides, hey, I want to go wave at the King of Hell. Mark Shepherd, who plays Crowley in Supernatural.
[00:23:23] So they go up to wave at him and Mark pulls them up to the table, said, you know, come on up. No. What are you going on? He has some say, come on up. He played.
[00:23:35] Give me five up high down low to slow with a fucking King of Hell. That's tight. Right. Oh, man. We finally get in line for for Brie Larson, which Theo, you were over at a photo op, right? Yeah, Zario, I think it was.
[00:23:55] They are scheduling was like all overlap and stuff like so. Luckily, Theo got back because they shut off. If you were in the line, you were good. If you got out of line tough, if you were basically outside the line
[00:24:11] and somebody was in line waiting for you, they shut that off too. So Theo got back to the line just in time. Dang, OK. We get up, we get through the line. Oh, there's more to that that you did not experience for that timing.
[00:24:27] So this this speaks out to the kindness that there is at convention centers. So the photo ops always told you to line up or get ready to line up 15 minutes before your time. So my mine was at three, so I got over there at two forty five. Right.
[00:24:41] I got there. They already finished calling my group and moved to the next and I got in and they're like, no, just go into the other group. So you have to be like basically at the back of the line.
[00:24:54] I was like, oh, shit, this is going to take forever. There was this really nice family that had adorable kids, by the way. But I asked since I was in group two, along with them, if I could just sneak in into there and they let me in.
[00:25:10] So that's so I cut off at least like a good five minute wait and in order to make it just in time for Bri. So we get up to the table. Thank you to that family. Yeah, we get up to the table for Bri's signature
[00:25:23] and she starts having a conversation about Mario Odyssey with my son. Yep. That's awesome. Like sitting there. Not only is he making out like a man, but he's kind of a he's a smooth operator. And then after we finished that, we're like, OK, the day is done.
[00:25:40] We're going to go get some food. We went to stop by to see Fred on the way out, which Fred can't wait to see in October when we're all out there. You come do that. We're going to do the final fantasy dinner.
[00:25:53] So we're sitting there just talking to Fred and stuff like that. And then all of a sudden Cody real looks at the poster and it's like down in the corner is another one of his favorite characters. Which is the story bots, which is another educational show.
[00:26:08] And we're like, you're you're bang. And Fred's like, yeah, he did the voice for Cody and bust it out and bust it out a print of bang and signed it. Oh, sweet. He made out like a band. He made out like a band.
[00:26:23] So overall, Andy got a picture in front of the banner with him too. Yes. Oh, sweet. So he got like all sorts of like hooked up. Oh, man. He is the ultimate comment. Dude, I love it. You're already you're already starting the.
[00:26:37] Yep. The young one on a convention kick. I love it. Yep. And I do want to shout out one vendor that was there. And that's Copper Coast Confectionary. Oh, Jesus. Fudge was banned. Fucking fantastic.
[00:26:55] You'd find dude like the first day I was like, I bought some on Sunday. I mean, it's pretty good. Who's got. Oh yeah. It's fantastic. Awesome. And yeah, they're from Pittsburgh and they ship all over the country.
[00:27:10] It's like 25 bucks for a pound of fudge from them, which honestly, that's gonna be well fucking worth it. It was fantastic. I had the chocolate peanut butter, which was almost like a Reese's peanut butter. Just like a fudge. I forgot about your your chocolate fix.
[00:27:28] I mean, if you can find a good place in fact that it's very serendipitous. I've been to this place twice within the past week. And I want to hear about that. You made me think of no, no, no, no, no. Different place. It's actually I've actually thought about
[00:27:46] of suggesting it and taking you guys over there. Not only for they have great sweets like their like fudge, like mousse cake is too amazing, but they're known for their roast beef sandwiches, their lamb sandwiches. They're you know, they double dip them in a juice sauce
[00:28:05] and then they give you a ju on the side. They're the place called Philips. It's a known staple in LA. And I I need I've totally forgotten. We got a weekend. We got a weekend coming up in October. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. If we can squeeze it in.

[00:29:33] It looks something it's something different to where like, yeah, I'm down to give it a try and see what it's about. But I understand. I get it. So a question for both of you. So since it was since this is coming out first
[00:29:52] and originally it was rumored that a show for. I think it's red Baron, the guy for the primary antagonist for Winter Soldier and Captain America Red Skull show. Oh, no, not Red Skull. Oh, are you talking about America? The show. No, the show. Emo Baron, Zemo.
[00:30:14] But was he bad Baron or no, he was. No, he was. Yeah. OK, there was rumor that he was supposed to have a show. Burst, which do you think is better based off of what we've seen? Having Baron should have should Baron come out first or Agatha? Neither.
[00:30:31] I would. If anything, I would have done I would have done Baron. You would have done Baron first. I agree. I think that would have been a better character. Yeah. And the actor is more interesting. He's you know he's. He's had more development. Yeah.
[00:30:46] And I love that actor and he's very talented to where like I think he could bring that character to. To different areas. He can really play with it, especially yeah the way they set up that character. You know, it could that would be an interesting show.
[00:31:05] You know the arms or even like the I'm he has so many like hands and different pockets you can bring a lot like within Marvel within that show. Yeah, I think it would have been more interesting. Okay. I don't know.
[00:31:26] I think for me with with the state of Marvel right now, they could have better user resources on other characters that people actually valid point. Very good point. Like because I think that's the problem that you know,
[00:31:42] like the accolade is running into is that you pick the time and a subject that not many people really care about unless you're a die hard Star Wars fan that has consumed all Star Wars from old Republic through high Republic. It's not a fan. I've tried.
[00:31:59] I've started watching it. I'm just not a fan. I'm not connecting with it. No, thank you. And and don't get me wrong the the the junior character was very cool. The final the final enemy like he was very cool. Don't get me wrong.
[00:32:19] There were elements of the show that like, yeah, I can see but fundamentally like the writing and the story I cannot be on board with they because it just discredits so much of the original where like I can't be on board. I'm sorry.
[00:32:37] But they also there's a couple of things I've seen where they actually did go back into the like what's considered the legacy and not cannon and make it cannon. You know, like, but overall I just I can't get into I like and
[00:32:52] the one that plays like the lead Jedi who's from a squid game of the guy like as an actor and everything he's great but I just can't get into it. So let's talk about on the gaming side we do have a misstep I think by Microsoft.

[00:33:37] Yep, so with it so basically they are getting rid of Xbox game pass for consoles which is that very very based here that they had the so new users will not be able to get it anymore come September.
[00:33:53] And you're only going to be able to get the new the new version of the game pass. So users currently on Xbox game pass for console able to maintain their subscription as well as day one games. Yeah, that is key.

[00:34:55] of thing. So I'm guessing like this is like their basic. This is their basic access. Yeah, I think this is like the casual of the casual gamer. I guess so with that it will include the multiplayer. You know, so also happening in September Microsoft will
[00:35:22] only allow users to stack Xbox game pass for console users for up to 13 months. So basically the cards that you can go get the store and whatnot, you're only going to be able to stack those for up to 13 months after September. That's annoying.
[00:35:38] If you have more than 13 months stacked, you won't, you know, already you won't be impacted but anybody else going further you have a 13 month limit. Game pass ultimate is not going to do what he does and like so you know, you know how in PlayStation,
[00:35:56] if you got like a couple year subscriptions and you redeemed all three and you stack them. You're three years down the line. You're good. Like it stacks. Yeah, Xbox is not doing that right? Oh, okay. You were going to stack up to 13 months.
[00:36:14] That's it on the game pass for console. That was like that was like that was a big thing with stacking. Yeah, because like you could go on like Black Friday when they have those deals for the years of trips and cards
[00:36:29] and you could just buy a few and stack them. I will say for our listeners who are going to listen to it over the weekend or whatever, who are going to pick up the video on demand. If you have game pass for console, I recommend going
[00:36:41] out and getting cards and stacking it up because it's gone. It's like you're done. And with that, your day one is gone too. So if you let that thing run out, you're done. You're going to have to go to standard and that's it.
[00:36:59] So game pass ultimate is going to be going up to $20 per month from where it is now. So it's going to get a couple dollars increase. PC game pass is also getting a price increase going from $10 to $12. PC game pass will continue to get day one games.
[00:37:16] Game pass core, which is just that Xbox Live multiplayer. You get an annual price increase from or a increase to $74.99 from 60. So it's going up to 75 fricking dollars. Or you can do it for $10 a month. The prices are global and also anybody with
[00:37:38] reoccurring billing, you'll see it go into the effect on September 12th. So when you look at the pricing, here's your kind of the changes across the board. So you can find that I think Windows Central did a great great job linking it directly to your home country
[00:37:57] where you're going to be. So you're looking at game pass ultimate currently is $16.99 here in the state. So it's going up $3. And then you have to go back to the game pass and you're going to be back at $1. So it's just going up to $15.
[00:38:15] And then you're going to be back at $1. So the game pass is basically $16.99 here in the state. So I was going up $3. Your core is going up the 15 and whatnot. So what is the core allow again? Is that more like multiplayer stuff? Yeah.
[00:38:33] And then, you know, different regions and stuff like that. So Microsoft kind of. The money into sure. Starting to get greedy. Yeah. So we'll see. So. On another note. As you can see by the title of our episode, it ends with PlayStation the action figure question mark.

[00:42:41] I'm also not surprised by the official PlayStation store. But but. No, this will be the pricing. Those are those are. This will be the Amazon should be the Amazon pricing and everything too. So really? Yes. MSRP sir. MSRP. Damn. Yeah. Okay. Yeah.
[00:42:58] I mean, it's a little pricey for what for what they are. Yeah. But. But are they pricey? Because we're used to a lower price because of our ages. I feel like we've moved into that. Because I feel like. So everything's just more sense in the context.
[00:43:16] So it's going to be. So that. Aloy statue that I have. Yeah. Yeah. That was 80. So that's a good figure for the statue. Okay. So to do a figure at 50. You know, a little action figure at 50. I think that's where you're kind of. But then again, I've been.
[00:43:41] You know, in my experience for figures when it comes to a $50 price tag, like that's a deluxe figure. So like, I would expect like a base or something, you know, some more like accessories along with it because it's a six inch standard figure.
[00:43:55] So along with all the accessories in the faces like cool, but I would expect at least something like a base or at least like maybe one of those little seeker wrapped or looking machines. You know what I mean? Like something else.
[00:44:14] I do think Aloy is a little pricey. Okay. So I think that's what we all are. Just to give you some things that spin masters evolved with. They make air hogs Bakugan. They're part of one of the Batman lines. They did. I don't know.
[00:44:40] It's one of the kids lines with the bigger figures. So they're like, I think they're going to find over in the, like the little kids section of toys. They did. They make the etch a sketch. Hatchimals, kinetic sand, Mighty Express, the monster jam monster truck toys. Paw Patrol.
[00:45:05] So this is really kind of their first big take on like the six inch figure line. Like, hey, let's have some, you know, toys. You know, looped into kids shows. They also did, you know, a Harry Potter line that's for little, little kids.
[00:45:23] So this is going to be their first kind of foray into this type of really, I think action figure. Yeah. I feel like they're Batman adventures. They did pretty good. They did the flash toys too. Yeah. So I mean, we'll see. They look great.
[00:45:47] But who knows how they'll turn out, right? Hopefully they turn out great so it can justify the price point. They were called spinsters. What was spin master master master. Yeah. Because those price points overall for toys are starting to come
[00:46:10] up like Disney just released a new Star Wars line and the figures look like the old three and a half's from the 80s. And they want them like 12 bucks for them. Like, yeah. So it looks like they took them like the Luke Skywalker from Return of the Jedi.
